my life document

Life has become almost fun at home. Dave and Em are old enough that we've been able to have... fun... all of us... together...

And I recently decided that my life, over these four years at college, will be incredibly enjoyable.
Whether or not other people will agree with me on that one is, essentially, irrelevant.

I want to have stories when I'm old. I want to have memories that will excite me. I want to have lived through things, and to look back on the other side of obstacles, remembering the thoughts and the mindset accompanying the comparative ease that existed beforehand. I want to remember what it feels... felt... like to be a child, a teen, a college student, a struggling teacher (if that is, in fact, the way my life is headed), and whatever else live has for me. I want to remember what I've lived through, what I've done, what I've felt, what I've wanted, what I've had, what I've needed, what I've gone without... so many things. I want to remember my experiences. Maybe... no. I want to remember my experience. My life.

But, not just my perspective, you know?

I guess the point is this:
I want to remember my life.

So I'm going to be writing a series of short, one line to one page, stories from this summer, either ones I hear from people, that I watch, etc. Whatever.

Oh, and I decided that I want to take a lot of pictures. I got a new camera, after all, so I feel that lots of pictures is an obvious reaction, and a necessary second step in this idea of... documenting my life.

camera, dave, experience, em, school, emotion, love, home, introspection, life
