So today basically i felt like a shit bag all day because of the horrible shit going on in Louisiana. New Orleans is no more, i dont see how they will ever re-build that town it cant be done for anything less than 200 billion im sure. They are sending as many people as possible over to Houston, Dallas, and even here to try to get them away from all the anarchy and disease floating around the state. Its good to hear celebrities helping out the cause, Puff Daddy and one of his friends donated 1 million dollars to the Red Cross, and Wal-Mart donated 1 million dollars in food and goods aswell. I donated today, and i plan to donate again tomorrow when i get paid. $100 is very little and wont help much im sure but it will help atleast a few that need it. I feel really guilty eating, and driving around having a good time knowing what is happening elsewhere and how much chaos is going on. The gas prices are going sky high, with no end in sight at the moment. They are saying we might even run out, so people go out and buy as much as they can so they have it. Which when you think about it is stupid, because you shouldnt be stockpiling gas for yourself when other people need it to put in their ambulances, boats, firetrucks, and all other kinds of cargo vehicles that drive over there to supply the people with donations and supplies. So if we do run out it will be because of selfish fucks that want to make sure they have just enough gas to make it to work, or to do whatever. Thats very nice of them, assholes. I usually dont get really involved in much of the catastrophies that happen around the US. This by far has to be the worst thing i have ever seen, and probably will ever see in my lifetime. I dont think it has sunken in with most people on how bad things are right now, and much worse things are going to get. Not just for the people in Louisiana, but for the entire US. The economy is all fucked up because of price gouging, and people seem to think its ok to take advantage of the so called supply and demand of the current crisis. Its nice to see how fucked up some people are willing to be just to make an extra dollar here and there. I really want to help these people, and im thinking about volunteering somewhere for something, because anything is better than sitting on my ass and doing nothing.
