1st lunchtime photgraphy session - Ann Siang Hill Park

Jul 13, 2007 21:08

Decided to visit the Ann Siang Hill Park near my office today...snapped 40 pictures in 1 hr and perspired like mad...think i am the only local there with a camera...the rest are foreigners...tourists probably...

The entrance looks very weird to me, stuck just like that in the middle of two buildings, a Chinese temple and a row of shophouses. After visiting it, i think it is more of a park connector than a park. Most ppl just treat it like a road and pass it so quickly. Only old uncles, foreign workers and a handlful of working ppl who packed their lunch to eat there, had time to sit and rest. As to whether if they did admire the place like me, i am not really sure.

Walking through it..i had a feeling that i had barged into someone else's beautifully landscaped garden..ok..that's a beautiful way of saying...simply put...the put is built in the back alleys of shop houses... not exactly beautiful..but i think it exudes an unique kind of beauty....

Every turn and up and down brings u to a different back alley...or a pavilion... and more surprises...turning ur head around and you get different views...buildings.. new and old...tall and short...

beautiful plants...

and a bag that is resting under a shade and too tired to move...

after a tired journey...it was time to make my way out...

and who ever say that Singapore is boring? Put on the "tourist's glasses" and you will be able to appreciate the simplest things...

goodbye...and see ya again~~
