my life
SOOOOOo it's been awhile since I've actually updated.. so right now sounds like a pretty good time.
Not much is new with me.. same old, waiting for dustin to come home.. working every day.. and sleeping. That's pretty much it. I have two weeks left at Umicore.. and I'm both bummed out but excited about that. I'm glad to be done work cause then school starts and well.. how am I ever gonna finish my last year if I don't START sometime.. but yeah, who ever wants to go to school?!?! Haha.. the people at Umicore are awesome.. and I love working with all girls.. and well.. this job makes me glad that I picked Chemistry for my career. :)
McDonalds is going crazy lately.. the new one opened up on Thursday.. so well, it's nuts. I guess I'll technically find out how it is there after I work there SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.. haha BLAH. I really should just quit.. but for some reason I'm just not ready to yet. Meh, my time will come. With Megan and Chelsea leaving.. I will soon be the longest part timer around.. sad eh? Speaking of McDonalds.. I won the employee of the month for July. Lol.. I won it like two years ago too.. WOW.. haha. Well technically I didn't win.. I cheated myself into winning it.. lol but I guess I still won.
Here goes the story about that. Last weekend I was sitting down in the office with Chris and Diane. I was looking at the manager book and I saw that the list with Managers names and a space for employee of the month was now written up in the book.. but NO ONE had voted yet. Me being a silly person.. (har har) went and put my name behind Chelsea, Megan, Diane and Chris. I am soooo bad. It was just a joke right? And Chris and Diane knew that I had done it... so I crossed off the one after Diane's name. I was about to leave when Ralph got there.. but then he yelled.. "HEY HAVE YOU WON EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH YET?" i was like.. ummm yeah like two years ago exactly.. and he was like "OHH.." hahah then I actually told him that I had put my name behind the four managers.. like i really TOLD him.. he just laughed, and was like "MAYBE YOU'LL WIN". Hahaha.. I didn't think much of it until today when I went into McDonalds and Chris told me that he had given my employee of the month cheque to Megan. lol. 25 bucks later.. I'm quite proud of what I did. Like really.. I'm going to leave SOON.. why not give me MOOLAH.. so yeah, I voted for myself and WON. I'm good.
Dustin comes home in two weeks and a day! I'm quite excited about that. You really don't realize how much someone means to you until they leave. Don't get me wrong.. he always meant alot to me.. but as soon as he leaves.. KAPOOWWW.. it hits you. Next year will be great with him up in Edmonton going to school :) I'm quite excited.
Yeah, I really don't have much else to say. I'm just glad that tomorrow instead of getting up at 5:30 I'll be able to sleep in till 9:30.. HIP HIP HORRAY. It's sad to think that as soon as I go back to school.. I'll be able to sleep in longer then I have all this summer while working. WORK SUCKS. hehe.. but I gotta love the money :P.
