One Word: A-fuckin'- mazing!
I am hoarse- I screamed my lungs out and sang as if my life depended upon it.
It was so much better than I thought it would be (and believe you me, I did not have low expectations).
Yeah, the Gallagher brothers are quite... deadbeat on stage and kind of snobbish, but it's Oasis. And to me, they can do no wrong.
Plus, I'm so convinced it's a front Liam puts- at times I felt like he was supressing a smile (or I liked to believe so haha, wishful thinking). According to my brother Liam was pissed when he got on stage (and I mean pissed in the british sense, i.e. drunk). My sister and I agree the pissed one was my brother lol. It was his birthday and I think he had a few too many drinks before and during the concert... Tut tut.
The Secret Machines opened the concert, and they were quite good. Their sound and lighting really didn't help them... And they did a cover of a mexican song, which was appreciated, but badly done. You couldn't understand a thing he was saying in "spanish".
Rock 'N' Roll Star - This definately got the crowd going!
Lyla - I actually thought theu would open up with this one.
The Shock Of The Lightning
Cigarettes And Alcohol - CLASSIC
Meaning Of Soul
To Be Where There's Life
Waiting For The Rapture
The Masterplan - Beautiful.
Songbird
Slide Away - Another of my favourites, and so glad they sang it. He dedicated this song to the ladies ;)
Morning Glory - I wish they'd sung ALL the songs from this album lol.
Ain't Got Nothing
The Importance Of Being Idle - This was such a crowd pleaser!
I'm Outta Time
Wonderwall - Ahhh. There are no words to describe this song :)
Supersonic
Then Liam announced it was over, and I panicked for a second thinking, "They won't play Don't Look Back In Anger??!!". But of course they saved the best for last on encore.
Don't Look Back In Anger- I got goosebumps once that first guitar strum hit my "inner chords" lol. Noel played it in acoustic, and the WHOLE stadium sang along.
Falling Down
Champagne Supernova - One of my favourite songs EVER.
I Am The Walrus- A surprisingly amazing cover, and a good end to the show. It was amusing having the whole crowd saying in unison the famed, "Goo Goo Goo Joob".
I left the stadium wanting more and never wanted to night to end. I was unrealistically hoping they'd sing "Married With Children" from their Definately Maybe album, but alas... they did not.
I ♥ concerts!
Also, I cannot explain the frustration: OF COURSE RADIOHEAD HAD TO COME TO MEXICO WHEN I WILL NO LONGER BE HERE!!!
