I'm heading to the Upper Peninsula right after work tomorrow with erikvolson and won't be back until very late on Sunday. (How late? I'm trying to get someone to switch hours with me on Monday, so I can close, _that's_ how late.) I won't have an internet connection or much cell phone access until I return.
Should be lots of fun, I'm looking forward to it very much.
Moline was very relaxing and uneventful, we didn't do much but eat, drink, mess about in the water, and....well, that was it really. It was nice to get away for a bit and see my friends though. Sitting outside on Friday night I saw the best shooting star I've ever seen, it lasted much longer than most, was quite bright and had a definite tail. Very cool.
The train was on-balance a pleasant experience, it had a pretty relaxed atmosphere and it was pleasant to watch the scenery go by. I would definitely do it again.
