A poem I wrote to my dearest and closest friends come the impending heartbreak that is the moment we embark upon our seperate paths. I do hope that this will not be but in the distant future, but oh, well. I felt like writing.

Be valiant, companion; in the life you have ahead
Do not tremble, do not quiver, be courageous in my stead.
For though you may be fearful, you don’t have to be naïve;
Anything you want to, in the Lord you can achieve.

As I leave your side this evening, though I never ever planned
I depart you not in spirit; at your side I’ll always stand.
Do not be so anxious of what tomorrow yet may hold;
Cherish what is here today, and always treasure it as gold.

Time will keep on ticking even when you can’t pursue
So never let it run ahead or get the best of you.
Let the world know to whom you bow, and be a shining star;
You’ve run the race, now reach the end, which cannot now be far.
