So did anyone go to the TEA party on 18th and Farnam this evening? It was kind of surreal because I've never seen anything like that, especially across from my place of work. So I thought it would be fun to take some photos from the third floor of the parking garage and share them.

This is a shot of people just starting to gather. I took it before I headed off to the gym to work out. It was weird running with a crowd of people just to my right. Thank god our windows are tinted so it's hard to see in.

Another before the gym.

The rest of these are from after the gym around 5:40 PM. People were cheering, chanting and generally protesting.

Honestly I was indifferent to the whole thing due to the fact I live in IA, however the running fact is I don't live in NE because the taxes are super high. However, I thought it would be cool to join a huge rally like that and be passionate about something in your life.

Which leads me to my next point.

This guy's blog is my new favorite blog ever. He's got more passion about EVERYTHING than I do about one thing. OK, maybe my dog, lol. That's a given.

Anyway, he's an urban explorer when he's not being a stay at home dad and he is documenting all of the places in Detroit as they have been walked away from and are slowly falling in on themselves. Some of the stories are heartbreaking. Others are so freaking interesting it was hard to come back from break at work and quit reading them.

There is a TREE growing out of the rotting books.

That's about it. Nothing to update, other than my step mom got a new rat terrier puppy. Her sweet little face almost makes me not hate rat terriers. ;)
