I got the following as a response to a previous post and decided to just go ahead and make another journal entry on it...

hmm I agree.
I can say that there is a way around the diamond thing. There are some pretty good "lab created" diamonds that are molecularly speaking, diamonds, though they will have 0 florescence which a small amount can be neat ( Read more... )

Nope,wasn't me (KBW). But I also agree, and it does sound like something I would write (minus the cool-ella, because I would jst NEVER EVER use that word) (ever).

I do agree that the man should DEFINATELY ave an engagement ring, ad I have thought that for a very long time. I persnally like titanium, just because it's nice. I think that just a thin, plain band would be perfect for engagement, and when the marriage does happen, he would have the ring just to wear in general and not have to wear it with the actual wedding band. I also LOVE the Cartier Love bracelet, and I think that's a viable (but expensive) option as an engagement "ring." Its a bracelet that can oly be taken off by the person that has the key, and its just really nice-looking. And I love it. I think that the expense, however, could be justified by the fact that an engagement ring is quite a significant expense for a man, and thus deserves a similar expense. And financial stability. So a man and financial stability.... yeah. So that might be a while. At this rate I'll be married when I'm 72.
