New Year...
New Start? Here's hoping. Having decided that I really do need to so some sort of actual re-training if I don't want to be stuck in a dead-end job for the rest of my life, all I need to do now is find an appropriate course. Which is easier said than done. Having established that I'm monumentally rubbish at self-driven learning (especially when there's so much wonderful rubbish to be distracted by on the TV), I've decided that a classrom environment and actual, you know, deadlines would encourage me to pull my finger out and sort my work life out before it's too late.
And I'm also hoping that Pony and I can have a good year too. All being well (fingers firmly crossed), I have found a new home for him, where he'd have company and we'd have schooling facilities so that we can start to work on our partnership and try to consolidate things a bit. With a handy nearby Silversand trainer (for the non-horsey types who may happen upon this entry, that's a sort of alternative - and some might say kinder - way of dealing with horses), and somewhere we can actually train I am hoping to make some real progress this year.
So come on 2009....I hope you're going to be a good 'un.
