Weekend Update
Hey guys!
So the weekend's been fun. Heck, the whole of last week was a whirlwind of activity. Let's start from the top, shall we?
Tuesday - Matt's birthday! We spent the evening at a Code Council end-of-year celebration dinner. There, we saw some of our old comrades from El Cerrito. Totally fun night. The highlight of the night was when we got the ladies singing blues on-stage to sing Happy Birthday to Matt. Unfortunately, they embarassed him by asking him to come on-stage with them, so he got serenaded in front of 150 of his peers in the building inspection field...
Wednesday - Spent a lovely night with his mom having his 2nd birthday dinner.
Thursday - Matt got paid so we went out to sushi at our favourite dig (no, I won't tell you where it is). Invited family with us, so that was totally fun!
Friday - Went out bowling with my family and we had a blast! Click here to see the pics.
Saturday - Went to lunch at the awesome Indian buffet a block down from us. All you can eat for only $7! And the food's fantastic to boot. Can't beat that! I then went into what Matt called "glucose overload" and went back to sleep for another few hours. We then headed out for a wonderful dinner with his dad. This marked the end of a week-long celebration.
Sunday - We chilled for the first half of the day doing a Crusoe marathon. Now we're all caught up on the episodes except for episode 7. If you like Pirates of the Caribbean, you might like this new TV series. It's got a lot of MacGuyver stuff to it; I think that's why we like it so much. After the shows, we went into a cleaning frenzy and cleaned out about 75% of the apartment, with Chris' help. Now I just need to finish out the living room and bedroom.... Whew!
