Posting schedules
*plonks down with some spiced chai and crumb cake* Morning, all! I've been pondering something of late, and was wondering if you writers of multi-chaptered works could enlighten a oneshot maven: what dictates chapter postings, the story or the schedule?
I'm especially thinking of you insane dedicated souls who post chapters DAILY, or every other day, or occasionally twice a day. How do you divide it up? Is there a master outline? Do you find yourselves being horrified looking at "ch. 46/?"? Have you ever done the "this isn't precisely perfect but the readers will lose interest if I don't give them something today *post*" thing?* Are your betas ready to kill you? Curious minds wish to pick ur brainz!
*On that last note, I myself have been gleefully awaiting a chapter 9 since May, a 12 since March, a 6 since February and an 18 since January, so if they love you they'll hang in there!
