Live from Starbucks ...

... and looking for a free hook-up.

Computer, folks, computer.

Yes, Brandon got a wireless card for his birthday yesterday. :)))))

(And, for those who don't know, I share a birthday with the greatest baseball player that ever lived, Willie Mays, the ultimate five-tool player who didn't have the Cream, the Clear, andro or anything else.)

Now, I'm in the Starbucks at B&N, except they charge for access here. And my battery, after months of abuse, is fading fast.

But I finally have a way to get connected to the Internet without being at work and wondering, "Can I put politically incorrect things on my blogs, or will I end up getting fired?"

Aaaaah.

I also got "Conspiracy of Fools," the Kurt Eichenwald book about Enron. Don't when I'll get around to reading the almost 800-page tome (which is supposedly really good), but it's nice to know that I have it in hand.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go fix my Windows Media Player, download about a million XP updates, and do other things I've been neglecting in the Web-free wilderness.
