I was wondering if anyone had any empty bottles they don't want and wouldn't mind giving to me? It's okay if they don't have tops, as long as they're glass it's okay. I wanted to ask sooner but being called a communist... people seemed pretty busy, I didn't want to bother anyone ( Read more... )

What d'you need the empty bottles for? Is it for an art project, can I help?!

I don't think Cronus can read these, though, that would be kind of strange.

They're not for an art project, but I just like the way they look. I think things taste better if they've been in glass bottles, too, that plastic stuff is really weird. ... what kind of art could we make with empty bottles?

Sometimes I think he can... because if he can do stuff like make everything black and white, then wouldn't he be able to read these? I probably just shouldn't think about it.

Yeah, did you know plastic bottles actually give off toxins?? So when you drink out of them your water has soaked in toxins! So yeah glass is better!

Oooooh We could...paint them and make them into kaleidoscopes or flower holders, or we could make strange little chandeliers with them....or uh, one of those things that makes noises when wind blows.

I guess that makes sense...but I don't think it's making him any madder, on the bright side - he was already pretty mad to begin with!! (:

. . . so why do people drink out of them? That's so dumb!

A wind chime? We could break them (carefully and stuff) and then paint them or use different coloured glass. They'd make the nicest colours on the walls! Or if it's normal glass, we might get lucky enough for a light rainbow!

I guess that's true... and, um, I'd rather be here than dead or something.

Well I think when they first started using them, people didn't know, and now the information still isn't really out there. PLUS plastic bottles, and plastic things in general, are often dumped in the ocean and RIGHT NOW there is a HUGE COLLECTION OF PLASTIC that is 500,000 SQUARE MILES WIDE!!! Can you imagine???

Yes, a wind chime, that's what they're called! And I like that idea...we should definitely do that! It would be so pretty!

Me too. See, there's always a bright side to any situation (:
