We're in Soccer City, in Johannesburg! It's only the first forty minutes of the game and nothing has happened yet so I thought it'd be a good time to go get a drink, things are crazy down there.
[Ganymede laughs and then let's a tiny "oops" slip, before he confirms the price of his drink and pays the vendor. The sound of vuvuzelas and crazed fans cheering is audible in the background as a loud buzz, as if a swarm of angry insects were to come around a corner any minute. Every now and then a booming voice is heard over the intercom, but from where Ganymede is standing it's unintelligible.]
It's the Chile versus Brazil match, and after Brazil tied with Portugal one to one, I know Brazil fans are getting pret-
[The incessant hum that was the crowd suddenly bursts into cacophonous roar, overpowering every other sound in the stadium, drowning out whatever Ganymede had been saying, which wasn't much more than a yell now, as everyone in the hallways rushes to stadium doorways to see the field. Brazilian fans are going wild, the whole stadium sounds possessed and fantastically insane in their wordless ravings.
He still has to almost yell to be heard, but he does.]
JUAN SCORES! GOAL FOR BRAZIL! THIRTY-FIVE MINUTE MARK AND BRAZIL'S AHEAD!
The South American countries play with so much more spirit, as if they're really committed! They play like they're trying!
[Oops, do excuse the boy, he is watching a football match, after all. He can't help if it he gets caught up in it, dropping his phone from his ear as he rushes into the stadium, and the crowd's roar starts up again.]
GO, ROBINHO, FEED IT IN!
[Does he really need to shout goal? We don't think so, not when the entire stadium screams it for him, his ears ringing with cheers. The only audible thing through all the noise is the continuous chant of BRAZIL, BRAZIL, BRAZIL! See you at the end of the match, apartment complex. Ganymede hangs up - he's not missing any more of this game.
He's not really sorry for the vuvuzela noise either. He loves those stupid horns.]
[ooc: So, uh, you should read this journal entry
here, just for kicks. All replies will be after the match, haha, when it's much quieter. SORRY FOR BURSTING YOUR EARDRUMS. ♥ Not.]
