to...

ok. so. get your base (i capped this one myself). you know, resize, crop, and all that jazz.

now, i hate making a screen layer. it always comes out wrong for me :( so what i do, is make my base lighter with a curves layer.

RGB
point one; I- 186 O- 203
point two; I- 121 O- 137
point three; I- 58 O- 71

>>

ok. now i add an orange-y solid color layer. i took the color #FB7600. i set it to soft light, opacity 20%.

>>

now it's too orange, so i add a blue layer. i used #0094FC. i set it to soft light, opacity 30%.

>>

now it's dull. so i add an exclusion layer, just to shake things up (wild, are we?). i used #3B0000, set to exclusion (duh), opacity 75%.

>>

now it's just ugly. so i drag the base to the top and set it to soft light, 100%.

>>

so i guess now it's just dark and plain, eh? so i copy the curves layer i made earlier, and put it on top.

>>

it's still kinda dark and dull-y for me, so i make a color balance layer, with these settings;

shadows: cyan -10
highlights: yellow -15

>>

it looks alot better, IMO! well, i make a hue/saturation layer, 'cuz all the cool kids are doing it, and put saturation +15.

>>

it still feels like it needs a last touch, so i add another curves layer (i really like curves :D) and use these settings;

Blue
point one: I- 121 O- 167
point two: I- 86 O- 76

opacity 60%.

>>

and we're all done :D :D
