Help!
My boss will be out for three weeks due to knee surgery. I am not suppose to tell anyone that he is out for surgery and I'm not suppose to say he's away on vacation. All I'm suppose to say is that he's out for a few days. Here's a sample conversation that I've been having with clients
client: Hi I'd like to make an appointment
me: (my boss) is out is there any way I could take a message and have him call you
client: is he on vacation?
me: he's just out for a few days.
client: will he back back next week?
me: no
client: I thought he was out for a few days
me: yes he is
client: um so when can I see him?
me: in April
client: when in April?
me: I'll have to check his schedule.
client: so is he not back until then?
me: he'll be out for a few days
I hate this! HATE. I look like an idiot and this is what I am told to say. I can't say when he'll be back or say why he's out or when he can contact them. Three weeks of this....
