Since we've moved into this house we have been trying to fix some little problems here and there. One of the problems we noticed was a little dampness on the wall and ceiling in the kitchen but we didn't really think of it as a big deal. But as the rainy weather is now coming in it has rapidly been getting worse. It is now staining the wallpaper and ceiling a dark brown and yellow colour.
Just now I was making some noodles when something caught my eye. There, growing from my ceiling, is a mushroom! It's brown and withering but it's there, hanging upside down on my ceiling. Surely it must be a hallucinogenic magic mushroom because it's already saying fuck you gravity!

Obviously, it thought I couldn't see it watching me make noodles. It was probably confused. Why was I pouring water on this stringy spaghetti like food? Surely the wiggly food doesn't have the power of growth like a mighty plant or fungus does. Okay, so you might think it''s strange for me to be personifying a mushroom. Sure, it might look like a normal mushroom to you (Or as normal as a mushroom hanging from a ceiling can be) but this is how I personally see it:

I decided to let the mushroom live as it is clearly already withering. Rather than kill it, I wrote a haiku.
Winter brings damp walls
A mushroom on my ceiling
How did you get there?
Live long and prosper, little mushroom.
