I think I may have found the perfect travelling partner in Megan. We've been doing a bit of planning for our trip to Melbourne, and I'm almost positive that I'm going to have an amazing time with her. Not only is she willing to take a bit of risk and try
couch surfing, she's also weird enough to want to go on unusual tours such as a murders and ghosts tour. I like.
We were on the phone this afternoon trying to find cheap flights to Adelaide, but even the tickets from budget airlines are a bit pricey. So here's the current plan: we'll book about three day-tours (two day-tours and one night, actually, because the ghost tour is held at night), make sure that we have a place to stay for at least the first few days, and plan the rest while we're there. If we manage to find cheap airfare to Adelaide while we're in Melbourne, then good, otherwise, we'll just wing it. I'm sure it won't be a problem to find accommodation. If after the first few days we find ourselves homeless...I guess we could sleep on a bench in a park. Or anywhere with shelter. Or I could call my friend and beg him to take us in. Ha.
We leave in two weeks. We actually haven't found anyone with an available couch, but I'm sure we'll be able to find one before we leave.
