Yes...the guy that hit us was drunk
Thats his car...you can see all the beer on top, and there was still more inside
At the hospital when the cop went to arrest him the convo went like this
cop: "your under arrest"
jackass: "WHAT FOR?!?!?!"
he was so drunk he didnt even know what he did, all he knew was that his head hurt
what an ass
all i remmeber was being stopped in traffic and then hearing the tires squeal behind us and then being on the side of the road and not being able to breathe
i dont remember how i got out of the car
i dont remember the car spinning around (which i was told we spun like 3 times)
i dont remember the paramedics arriving
i dont remember much
i have a lump on my head which leads me to believe i hit my head and passed out and then woke up because i got the wind knocked outa me
doublej, tim brennan and danielle were driving past and they saw us and stopped to help but they had to get tim to his show.
Mari and alex went to the hospital and Jenna and I pulled everything out of the trunk and then left with the cop
After everyone got out of the hospital we took a cab to the venue
June and Bayside were waiting outside for us with THE BIGGEST WELCOME I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!
It was so soooo nice and sweet
We stayed at Stacys house that night
Sunday we rode with June to their show in Grand Rapids at the Intersection
what a cool venue
They dedicated their set to us and made us cry again
Mari alex and Jenna went home with Colleen (sutor's gf) and I went home with Double J, Danielle, Erin and Joe Chavez
It was an interresting car ride

We Live In A Van :: Journal
MONDAY, OCTOBER 3RD 2:12PM
What uppp everyone? So here I am, updating the journal from the ROAD! Finally, it took so long to get everything working again, but it is and I'm happy.
First off, we want to send out a huge shout out to our 4 friends..Jenna, Mari, Steff and Alex. They have always made it a point to come out to our shows around the midwest and we always have a blast with them whenever they do. Saturday, they were on their way to Detroit for our show at Alvin's (also Tim's bday party) and they got hit by a drunk driver which totaled their car. We got a phone call about it, freaked out when they said 2 of them were going to the hospital...but turns out they were ALL OK. Whew. That was the most bummed I had been in a while and then I was incredibly happy when we got to pick them up, drive them with us to Grand Rapids (yesterday's show) and then they got to ride home with some of our other friends.
OK, so they were ok, and we continued to play one of the best shows of the tour so far. HOLY SHIT, Grand Rapids, you guys are amazing. It was at the Intersection, a huge, awesome venue and we definitely were not expecting the crowd/reaction that we got. Insane!
We are currently driving towards Columbus, OH to play at "The Basement". We played there with The Academy Is about 2 months ago so hopefully a bunch of you are planning on making it back out. It's going to be a good time. More updates soon! Really! haha
