I wish we could've watched together.

So I have a new obsession.  Surprise?  I'm watching Repo! The Genetic Opera for the third time since purchasing it yesterday.  It's going on my top five list, which may or may not be a compliment considering my taste in movies.  I don't think it was a great movie, but it was enjoyable.  It had a lot of problems--plot drops comparable to the ones in Van Helsing, ambiguous intentions much like Murder by Numbers, and I think it was, overall, trying too hard, like Stay.  Note, though, that those other three movies are on my top five list.

I have a lot I'd like to say about it, but no energy.  Remind me to babble.  In short, though, Alexa Vega blew me away, Terrance Zdunich has an unexpectedly sexy voice, and Blind Mag was by far my favorite character.  Gah, Sarah Brightman.  I want to roleplay somewhere as Mag.  As for the bad, I thought that the movie was trying to cover more than it could in 98 minutes; I wanted far more of certain characters, and not everything was explained or played out to my satisfaction.  ESPECIALLY THAT THING WHERE ROTTI KILLED MARNI.  I was irrationally irritated by the fact that Nathan never found out.  Yeah, Rotti swore to take the secret to his grave, but that's not the way movies are supposed to work.  The whole thing felt very rushed--too many ideas in a short amount of time.  The writing seemed very... amateurish?  Good, I mean, but I think the plot could have been far more brilliant than it was.  The songs could have been catchier, but--but.  But I loved it!  It's visually and audibly appealing; the settings and outfits and lighting were all fantastic.  I loved the neo-Victorian feel to the clothes and, although goth makeup doesn't usually do much for me, I liked it here.  And while most of the songs were unremarkable, the music was great as a while.

Best songs, I think, were "Chasing Morning," "21st Century Cure," and "Zydrate Anatomy."  I loved Graverobber--GRAAAAAAVES.  He's such a creep, but likeable.  A-and zydrate comes in a little glass vial.

I loved Shilo to pieces.  "Why are my genetics such a bitch?"  I liked her conflictedness--very seventeen.  There was some bratiness and some of the swearing surprised me, but it makes sense.  She just wants to go outside, geez.  It's understandable.  I just wish she and Mag had had more time together.

ASH's voice was great, but Nathan's character confused me.  And is it just me, or is Marni's body... in the house?  On display?  That doesn't look like a picture.  ...And is Nathan supposed to have a split personality?  The Gollum thing didn't sit well with me.  Split personality is too easy--I'd rather see someone incorporate their dark side into the rest of their personality.

Also.  Pavi looks exactly like a clown out of a reoccuring dream I had when I was little.  Terrifying.

But more on it later.  Just know that I really liked it, even though there several character/plot/logic/continuity things that baffled me.  It's enjoyable, though, and that's what matters.

In other news, I'm anemic again, which explains why I feel so crappy.  I never had my iron tablets refilled because Mom's been going nuts about money--oops.  I have my mirgraine prevention meds refilled, though, and they seem to be chipping away at the headache.  Painting of the house and so on is going slowly, but it's also getting on.

Nnn... I had a lot more to say, but this is too hard.  Um...

Ah!  The scanner and I finally made friends, so I... scanned things.  Yes.
- Justin.  And a flower.  I dunno.  Not perfect, but oh well.
- Penny.  The scanner made the pen look funky, but the pics weren't great, anyway. XD
- Unhappy person and a unicorn.  IDEK.
- Blind Mag, because I love her.  She's awesome.

I found a couple of old colored pencil drawings that I like.  They're not that great, but I like... idea, if that makes sense.
- This...
- And this, which I kind of want to redo, just because the idea was neat.

Also, if you have ten minutes to spare... this is one of the reasons I love Ryan Gosling.

...Sorry for not saying much of interest.  I hate it--I have all of things in my head and I don't care enough to type 'em.  Good thing I'm on hiatus, although I'll try to get things together for the fourth wall day at Poly.  I LOVE fourth wall day.
