[Feeling cooped up at home, Haruhi decides to go to the park today. The weather was pleasant enough and she thinks now's a time as good as any to get started on a book report she needed to do for class. She makes herself comfortable at one of the park benches and takes out the novel she needed to read out of her book bag

[Feeling in a particularly annoying mood lately, the little boy bounds up to Haruhi and bats innocent eyes at her.]

[That made her jump in her seat a little. Places her bookmark in the book before answering the boy.]

The Catcher in Rye. It's for a book report.

@Reisen down there: No problem!

Ohhh. That sounds really boring. Let's play a game instead. It's called 'Catcher in the Park'!

[Palom snatches the book and flees!]

[She may not be the best runner but she needs that book back D:]

[Gives chase, but she's so out of shape, she's falling way behind you, Palom.]

No way! You shouldn't be out reading on a nice day like this. Unless you're that creepy alien girl, but she doesn't ever do anything else, anyway.

C'mon, keep up! Exercise is real important.

[Maybe I should've tried harder in PE back home. Ahh geez!]

[Panting and wheezing over here.]

Slow down! I really need that back!

I suddenly imagine Haruhi babysitting Palom |3;;

Hide and seek! I hide. You seek. Safety's the bench where you were just sitting. And I get 30 seconds -- Sleep!

[A wave of magic rolls towards Haruhi, a timed 30-second Sleep spell]

[Hide and seek didn't sound so bad. Haruhi would've said something else buuuut yeaaaaahhh. Going to sleep now. B|]

[Palom takes the time to climb to the top of the tallest tree in the park. He figures it might take Haruhi a while to find him so he might as well do something else, right? Maybe Catcher in the Rye wouldn't be so bad.]

[The 30 seconds were up and she's totally making that face in the icon. After making sure her book bag's strap was over her shoulder, Haruhi starts her search.

She looks under the benches and in the trash cans. No luck so far. /fml orz]

[To his intense displeasure, Palom finds that Catcher in the Rye is every bit as boring as he thought it would be. Also Holden Caulfield is an ass. He glances down and spies Haruhi diligently searching in trash cans for whatever reason and snickers quietly.]

[Okay, she needs to think of a plan. It's either she figures out a place that she'll never thought to look or...]

[Somehow, get the little boy to come to her willingly, The Catcher in the Rye in tow]

[Cue the really bad acting.]

Oh, I give up! I'll never get that book back!

[Storms off to the other side of the park, hoping her haunch is right.]

[Whaaaaaaat. Was she really giving up that easily? Palom leaned out of the tree branch to get a closer look at Haruhi -- She really did look like she was about to leave. Gosh. She couldn't wait 15 minutes, really?]

Hey! Hold on a sec, we're not finished playing yet!
