Jonathon and I had a really nice long talk yesterday. It all started because we were talking about how we're really meant to be together, and how we want to spend the rest of our lives together. We talked about so many things, for example. Here's what we've decided...the wedding date is going to be May 15, 2007 that's our three year anniversary. Plus, I want to get married on the day we got together, because it will be easier to tell how long we've been together. We won't have to say "well we've been together eight years, but we've been married five years, three months, and ten days. We can just say "oh we've been together for eight years, married five" After getting married we'll wait about two years and have our first child, two years after that we'll have the second one. We have two names so far, for a boy it's Jason Ray and for a girl, Jaidin Lea. The names are so cute! Plus they go really well together, and they have meaning behind them. Jason because Jonathon likes it...and I think it's cool that Jason and Jonathon both have a J,A, and O. Then Ray, that's Jonathon's middle name and my dad's so...that means he would have his dad and his grandpa's middle name. Jaidin Lea is cool because, I like the name Jaidin and there's double I's just like in my name. Then Lea, is my middle name and also my mom's...so she would have her mom and grandma's middle name. Oh, and we both want a boy first. Jonahton gets to pick the boy's name and I pick the girls. Unless of course we have let's say two boys...then Jonathon will pick the first boy's name and I pick the second, we both have to agree on it though.
We also talked about what type of wedding we would have, where we want to go on our honeymoon. I told Jonathon he could pick all the honeymoon stuff if I got to make most of the decisions about the wedding. It's cool though because I told him some of my ideas and he liked all of them.
Oh, and we talked about what would happen if we both had pretty good jobs here, and then one of us got offered this awesome job that was even better someplace like New York. Hmmm...what else? Oh yeah, what we're going to do about school...because mine might take up to 8 years. I'm pretty sure you can get a job a school psychologist without a PhD though, so I'll probably just go for 4-6 years, wait a year or two, then do the other two years part time. By the time I'm done with school Jonathon will have his career so that will be good.
We even talked about what we want our house to look like, and how it will be decorated. We didn't go into too much detail there though, but we did decide that one of the rooms is going to be done in red, black, and white...and for the kitchen our plates, cups, bowls, and utensils are gonna be the glass kind w/ little bubbles in the middle.
Oh...and we even talked about the family vacations we're gonna go on. Like, the Coast, skiing, the Grand Canyon, the Great Lakes, oh and my favorite one...we're gonna go to Italy, and take a picture of our kids eating spagetti in front of the leaning tower of Piza.
I really liked that we had that talk, it was nice to see that we both have the same goals, and ideas. I was thinking that I was getting ahead of myself by thinking about all of this already, but I found out that Jonathon wants the same things at the same time.
