so, its really interesting when after the same evening, you are told that u looked asian, hispanic and breathtaking.
pre-prom pics werent as bad as i thought they would b. i think megan intervening really helped then. she would b taking pics, and we would b standing there waiting for her to count... so that was nice. tim was really cooporative with all the pics, so thank you very much for that :) and his backyard provided a very nice backdrop for even more pics! my corsage was really pretty, and i never had any problems with it falling apart.
dinner was nice. it rained mostly while we were inside, so we didnt get drenched. our waitress was really attentive, at the beginning where all we had were drinks, i was really hoping she didnt have many other tables, cuz we were pretty well consuming the majority of her time. we had more fun there tho than i think the other prom groups did. we looked around at the other tables, and they all looked so somber. it was kinda weird. i think it was the waitress who said that she really enjoyed us, and that we were a fun group, or something like that.
but prom was a lot of fun. contrasting to many ppls feelings, i thought that prom was a lot better than project celebration. it could b cuz i spent so much time b4 prom working on it... or maybe cuz im not as into arcade games as others. i would have prefered to have more of a diverse selection of music, but i understand why what was played was played - it got people out and dancing. i think some of the country songs could have accomplished that as well, or some of the older '50s music. but people seemed to enjoy it overall, so i was pleased. i wish also that the chocolate fountain would have stayed out longer, but atleast it got eaten.
project celebration was ok. we got there late. did arcade games - i played an overly violent game - which i dont usually do. did a bit of laser tag and just milling around. the end took waaaaay too long. they should have figured out another way of doing that. people were getting bored and tired toward the end, and didnt care what other people got. i ended up getting a $40 gift card to bed bath and beyond and a $25 gift card to walmart and some coupons.
overall, it was a wonderful night. had lots of fun, made lots of memories, and just generally had a good time with my friends. i think thats what its really about.
