i hold an unhealthy contempt for secondary education. cant really pinpoint anything specific about it, just all the general bullshit and meaningless rules and practices. today in english i though about how great it would be to bulldoze the LA building, not with people in it of course.
i also realized what the future of this country could be like. note the exponential rise of anti-bush ideas and propaganda as the calendar approached the election. this can't just fade away, and i'm worried. hopefully people will pause a bit to see what he's got in store before raising the bar for anti-gov't ideas, if not there may be political unrest in the country for the next four years, and if its this bad in little old charlotte north carolina, you can bet its like this elsewhere. hopefully he'll prove everyone wrong and water it down a bit, select a bipartisan cabinet and such, because an all red government might neglect a few things (not that an all blue one wouldnt too, the balance is key). also, all this speculation of the draft: it isnt going to happen. there would be riots if it did. think about the "responsible adults" of america right now. the fifty-somethings. during the vietnam war, the last and most criticized national draft, these were the people being drafted. if you didnt like it going into it, chances are after going through the clogged, rutheless machine that is war won't change an opinion. we respect these people and many of us hold them as absolute guides as far as morals and behavior go. if theres another national draft, the fifty-somethings arent going to support it, so there wont be much non-government voice against opposition and dodging of the draft. there'd be riots like crazy and the canadian population would quadruple (thank you no extradition policy). it's just not a good idea, and the outcome is rather obvious. yes a democrat proposed it in bill form, however it was more to prove a point than anything. the bill proposed had no limitations beyond age for the draft, college student? too bad, ridiculously wealthy? too bad. oh and the borders would be heavily guarded. it just isnt feasable.
im tired of politics. im also tired in general, goodnight readers of my livejournal, sweet dreams.
