Okay, this place is cool and all - seriously, we're in British magic boarding school held in a castle, that can't not be cool - but I have one serious gripe about all of this.
Ari and I were supposed to be doing this magic thing together. And where is Ari? Wearing green. While I'm decked out in red and gold. And here all of my fellow Gryffindors keep trying to tell me that if she's a Slytherin, we can't really be friends anyway, because we're rivals or enemies or some such.
I understand school rivalries and all, but this. Is just ridiculous.
House nonsense aside, holy crap is it hard not to adopt a British accent around all of these people. I don't want to insult them or something, but it's everywhere and it's just difficult to keep my own accent anymore. And jeez, if I go home sounding British, I'll never live it down.
