I GOT INTO THE WORKSHOP!
when i found out, i started screaming and jumping in the middle of the street.
i thought i was going to be rejected. they emailed me a week ago and said that i was missing a part of the application. so i wrote and edited it within 90 minutes and emailed back along with a metaphorical piece i just wrote.
here's a part of the acceptance letter.
"dear robin,
congratulations! form a large and very strong group of applicants, you have been selected to attend the 25th annual UVA Writer's workshop. your application has been given a careful reading by our staff of writers who have rcommended you for the playwriting workshop, session 1. there was a unanimous enthusiasm for your work and your capacity to build on your existing strengths in this particular workshop and session. we hope your workshop placement pleases you."
they prolly say that to everyone. but let's just pretend that they wrote it just for me. apparently virginia has an amazing english program. so i'm goddamn excited.
