Quick question because I can't see if this has been specified - can a claim be made on a prompt in a different media? For example, if a prompt has been claimed as art can someone else claim it as a fic?

Good question. It hasn't been specified because it didn't occur to me. Um... thus far people haven't been specifying if they're doing fic or art on the prompts that could be either, which makes it tricky. I'd suggest contacting the original claimer to ask what they've claimed it for, and if it's free for the medium you'd like, then I don't see a reason you couldn't claim it then.
