Title: How to Break a Curse in One Thousand Not So Easy Steps
Rating: PG
Genre: Gen
Warnings: None
Word Count: 5321 this part.  10,200 total

Author's Notes: This was written for cherry916 for this year's spn_summergen The prompt was: John accidentally pisses off the wrong fairy, which causes the fairy to backlash and de-age Sam to the age of 2. Dean doesn't exactly know what's going on considering Sam was 22 the last time he checked. John has a lot of explaining to do.  So, here is my version of what the Winchesters were doing between Dead Man's Blood and Salvation.

I want to give huge thanks and  props to my wonderful betas- embroiderama  and  smidgeson  who made this so much better than it would have been.  Extra special cookies go to embroiderama for making the fairy's curse way more awesome than my version was.

Summary: John annoys the wrong fairy and Sam ends up cursed. It's going to take some doing to get him back to himself again.

The forest glade was sun-dappled, with a tiny stream trilling through the middle. Butterflies filled the clearing, flitting on jewel-like wings around a gently glowing form seated by the water. “Oh, come on,” Sam muttered. “Could this get any more clichéd?” )
