reccer's comments. i'm not normally a fan of sam/dean. so, it kind of says something that i have this marked as a favorite. the hurt is mild - mostly the pain of sam growing up and away from dean, of leaving him behind when he goes off to stanford. this is an extremely well-written fic with lush descriptions and emotions so expertly wrought that i felt just lonely and sad by the end of it.

reccer's comments. this is my desktop currently because i love the hell out of it. The artist took some liberties, using jensen ackles as young dean vs. brock kelly, but man, it works. dean's all protective, shielding little sammy from the sight of their father blowing away a hellblazer demon. I love how they've got hold of each other and how forlorn Sam looks compared to Dean's fierceness. The coloring is also beautiful. It looks like a dark dream.

reccer's comments. i love this so much that i put it as the default image on my damned phone. it's kind of a casual thing - the aftermath of the boys having kicked some ass and gotten all banged up in the process. but, I just so dig how they're casually sitting, shoulder to shoulder, bloodied up, but just sort of resting for a moment. dean looks so delectable that you could lick him and sam has this chin up, a resolute "yeah, this is my life and this is my brother, dammit" look on his face. i love it. as an added bonus for my own personal kinks, something about the way the blood's staining the dryer and the whole mood of the color scheme seems very Silent Hill to me and, dude, what a win.
