my grandma passed away today at 5:45 pm after a 2 month battle with congestive heart failure, kidney failure, extremely high blood sugar and a staff infection. She was 66 years old.
we all got our chance to say goodbye... I told her i loved her and she was just conscious enough to tell me she loved me too. That was yesterday afternoon right after they unplugged the machines that had been keeping her on the edge of death for weeks.
I'm so terrible at goodbye. And this is my first experience with...permanant goodbye.
At least I know shes not in pain anymore.
