i'm obviously way too poor to buy myself an ipod, ever. i just lost my job, and i'm saving what money i have for school, leaving me with absolutely no spending cash for food/material possessions. so i've been working towards a free 20gb ipod at freeipods.com for a while now.
i think by now, with all the news coverage, most of you know that gratisnetworks (the company that runs freeipods.com as well as all the other free____.com websites.) is not out to scam their customers. everyone who signs up on the site, completes one offer out of a list of 10 or so (free trials for random websites and services, most of which just require you to cancel before the trial period ends), and then gets 5 people to do the same under their referral link has received an ipod. i know people who have gotten their ipod already, and if youre still skeptical check out www.freeipodguide.com, which is a forum ive been posting in filled with people who brag all the time about not one, but tons of free shit theyve been getting just by working the system. there are libaries of pictures of bragging idiots on that site so skeptics check it out:
anyway ive been doing this for a while, but only asking family members and personal friends to complete the offers for me using the blockbuster online trial service, which they were already insterested in subscribing to anyway, but i still need 3 more referrals in order to recieve my free 20gb ipod. the only reason im now posting this in lj, is because right now theres an extremely easy offer available, and it probably will dissappear within the next few weeks. the requirements are simply that you download the new napster music downloading software, sign up for a free 14-day trial, and then wait to be credited by freeipods.com (you will get an email anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 days after you sign up.) as soon as that happens, cancel immediately, and you will have paid nothing.
id REALLY appreciate if anyone would do this for me. if theres a favor or some money you need in return im willing to do that.
if you are in a good mood and want to help me out here are step-by-step instructions. follow these, and it will only take 5 or so minutes, and when youre done i will thank you/pay you/do you a favor in return:
1.) to be safe, use microsoft internet explorer as your browser.
2.) go to tools>internet options and click on the privacy tab. make sure it is set to 'accept all cookies' (if you dont accept cookies, theres no way for freeipods.com to tell if you completed the offer on another site. this step is very important.)
3.) click on my referral link here: http://www.freeiPods.com/?r=17207657
4.) sign up with all correct information. (you will not be sent any form of spam from gratisnetworks, so long as you select 'no' on all the prompts asking if youd like to recieve emails from them).
5.) go the 'account' section of the site, and fill in your first name, hit update, then click the button that says something along the lines of 'send me a confirmation email.'
6.) check your email and click the confirmation link proving you are not using a fake email address.
7.) go to the 'complete offer' section of the site, and click on the napster offer link.
8.) on the napster website, click the button that says 'download napster'.
9.) run the installer, open the program, and create an account (requires a valid credit card, but charges nothing to your account.)
10.) as soon as your account has been successfully created, you're done! wait for an email from freeipods.com saying "congratulations, you've completed an offer!". (they're supposed to credit you instantly, but depending on how busy they are, or if its a weekend or not, it could take a few days. chances are you'll get it right away though.)
11.) go back into napster and cancel the account.
if you do this for me, honestly i promise i will return the favor by whatever means it is possible. and i do encourage you, once youve completed the offer for my referral, to go for your own free ipod. 5 referrals is not incredibly difficult to get, and there are online communities that will help you out a great deal. ill post pictures of my ipod when i get it in the mail. thanks!
