On our senses human do rely --
to educate us, be it saint or sin;
In our eyesight we all do abide,
Though sight's not true; outsides can lie within.
But how can we know true our eyes don't lie?
Can we judge the insides from without?
Angels can have coats of dust and grime
and inside beauty lives, surpassed by naught.
Yet demons dark can wear their faces fair,
with hair as gold and shining as the sun --
They'll trick you sight and senses -- so beware!
Only wit will weave the truth undone.
So hear, my pretties, and my uglies, too;
Never trust an outside to be true.
this is what i do in my spare time. i write ridiculous, pretentious poetry.
