Second post today. I know, I'm ridiculous. As if I didn't have enough to say in the 643 words (estimate) in the first entry. My advice is to not get swept up in the hoopla of characters & shows right away. When you walk into the park, there will be all kinds of characters and such in "Main Street" (assuming you'll be visiting the Magic Kingdom). Take this time when everyone is oohing & aahing to get to the rides! My mom and I ignored all the characters and such and high-tailed it to the rides and we had virtually no wait. By the time I came out of many rides, the lines were double what they were when I went in.
Don't kill yourself to get to every ride. It's not worth it. Do what you want to do first, but don't feel like you have to do everything. And, if you can, take loads and loads of snacks. Disney allows you a cooler, too. You can really cut down on prices of food if you do that.
I think you can probably Google "Disney money/time saving tips" and or "Disney Advice" and find some really great words of wisdom. I'm only speaking on my behalf. I do suggest the parades! At night!
