i am 24 years old and have been a member of livejournal since 2004. i have a college degree and run a business. i a don't think people are "yelling" at me when they are not. i know what the communities i am a member of are created for. i understand the basics of common courtesy. i am not stupid enough to not know how to (let alone take 5 MINUTES to learn to) use the lj-cut option. some people have nothing better to do than sit around moderating communities they do not actually moderate. some do not have a sense of humor.
