Doctor Who and Torchwood star John Barrowman has revealed he's meeting with the producers of Glee in Los Angeles - and is hoping to land a part as a teacher.
The star, who flies out to the States on Thursday to start shooting his scenes on Desperate Housewives, said he was thrilled to even be asked along for a chat as he was such a huge fan of the show - or 'Gleek', as he called himelf.
He enthused: "I absolutely love the show. What would I play in it? I’m not sure what kind of character I’d like to play, maybe I could be a teacher, you know, another teacher who comes in and helps out.
"That’s me just kind of brainstorming but the fact that they want to have a meeting with me is really quite nice in itself, it’s so exciting!"
On Torchwood's future:
... John revealed that there had still been no green light regarding a new series of Torchwood, even though Russell T Davies has said he's already written another 15 episodes and the last mini-series of the show on BBC1 landed six million viewers.
First rumours said it was due to start shooting at the start of this year, but now there's speculation that it may be axed in the current BBC cuts.
John said he was equally unsure about the future of the show.
He said: "If I’m asked to go back and do Torchwood, I will at the drop of a hat go and do it. It’s just a question of when.
