i know! it's like your parents saying, "we tried to get you this really cute puppy but then someone else bought him. oh well!" D:

It's even worse than that, because we don't know whether they were going to buy us a puppy, a kitten, some koi, or that flying pony we've been begging for. Though I'm kind of afraid that if I found out exactly what had fallen through, I'd be even sadder.
