it sort of blows my mind how 10000% into Sherlock I was during the first 2 series and then the third one just killed my love. I haven't even watched the Christmas special yet.

Same. Season 3 was all about fan service and it was awful. I don't mind some Easter eggs for the fan-base but it was just too much and embarrassing to watch.

I've watched the Christmas special but I agree. Season 1 and 2 were absolutely brilliant but after that, something happened and my love just diminished. I don't know if I built Season 3 up too much in my head and it didn't deliver, if it was just poor storylines, the fandom, or what but my love for Sherlock has definitely faded and it used to be so strong.
