I mean, I'm never really in favor of killing any animals, but cats are really good hunters and can have a devastating impact on wildlife if their numbers are out of control.
cats have a devastating impact on wildlife even when their numbers AREN'T out of control. one of my cats became such a good hunter that he was literally wiping out all of the rabbits and bluebirds in our neighborhood, we had to start keeping him indoors 24/7. thinking of what 10 of him could do to an ecosystem is scary
Cats are scary sometimes, tbqh. My friend's cat is the sweetest little fur-ball, but every once in a while, she'll dart out the backdoor and come back about 10 minutes later with a fresh kill.
it was a joke. my cats are both barn cats, transitioning them to indoors was really hard on them but we did it bc its better for them and better for the environment. op came at me despite the fact that i said we amended our cats behavior and was outlining the reality that a lot of indoor/outdoor cat owners don't even realize
no offense but you shouldn't have cats if you don't want to clean their poop box, which is a very easy task tbh. I pick up dog shit with my hand multiple times a day and you don't see me complaining. Except I sorta am rn
well here's a thought, if the simple task of cleaning out a litter box is too tiring and/or complex for you, maybe you shouldn't own cats in the first place.
