You're right, it's true. I don't know why but I just find this whole scenario so sad. However the possibility is there that she could take him for everything he's got if she so desired... exactly, like most people in these situations, especially women, really do not see escaping as a positive thing. they're groomed from birth to believe in the bullshit that their cult feeds them, and its especially bad in insular cults where they're taught from birth how evil the outside world is, and unless they experience kindness first hand, they usually believe it. it's like how the flds girls and women were removed from the yfz ranch and instead of cooperating with authorities, they saw it as outsiders trying to rip apart their families. for many of the younger members, it was their first experience with non-flds, and obviously it's going to cement their viewpoint that outsiders are evil monsters. they took all of warren jeffs' child brides out and the girls were SO uncooperative because they didn't see themselves as being freed, they saw CPS/casa trying to take them away from their families. it didn't matter that in the eyes of the law, what had happened to them was sexual assault and statutory rape, they'd been raised to
