You're right; in Matthew 19 Jesus says that divorce is not allowed unless a spouse was involved in "sexual immorality" ... the Greek word used there is "porneia", which is where we get the word "porn" from. It is generally used in the Bible to mean anything outside of "God's design" for sex, and specifically has been used in reference to adultery, incest, etc.

So, if they're really into following what the Bible says, she is legitimately able to get a divorce. But, they're also totally brainwashed so ...

I don't know. My in-laws are bizarre Baptists too, and at my sister in law's wedding, the pastor drove home the point that if her husband hits her, beats her, and cheats on her, Jesus doesn't allow her to leave him. It was seriously the most disgusting wedding sermon I've ever heard in my life.
