yeah i was wondering yesterday if i should play FO3 and FONV but ~ a, people were saying they were PS3 killers and b idk if it will matter when the new one comes out
I played New Vegas on my PS3, and it was fine until I installed all the expansion packs. Now, if I try to play a new game, I can't get past the opening town without it bricking my PS3 to the point where I have to unplug it to get it to unfreeze. So frustrating, because I love that game and sometimes all I want to do is wander the Mojave and I can't.
Fallout 3 on PS3 is fine, it's NV that's the problem.
I'm actually playing it through for the first time now and enjoying it despite the technical limitations. I just keep multiple saves frequently updated (which has been trained in me since Fallout 1 anyway) in case of corruption and I have to restart my PS3 after about 2-3 hours of heavy playing. pretty annoying but i love fallout and I'm loving NV so it's worth the hassle
I know it may seem too late now, but you actually don't HAVE to play Fallout 3/NV as a FPS. I abhor FPS so i almost exclusively use the VATS system (turn system based on AP), and you can change the worldview to 3rd person mode too.
the character designs are pretty not good i admit, but damn it is a fine game
everything else looks stellar though!!! i didn't play fallout 3 because it looked fug (also couldn't do FPS to save my own life at the time)
