is katy stanning for fka twigs with that hair, or recreating her TIHWD look?

fka twigs did not invent the look

No but she certainly brought it to a wider audience who is too young to recognise the originators. It's no coincidence.

lol ikr this place ignorance is hilarious. the fashion industry has been doing babyhair swirls for ages, and gasp, braids too. Galliano and Gautier have done it multiple times waay before.

but no in this site it was originated by fka twigs
oh and braids, she created those too lol

Can you fucking read idiot? I said she brought the look to the wider audience, I didn't say she originated it. Fashion industry also appropriated the look, as they usually do. They did not originate it either (what a laughable thought). The black community did in the 90's but I'm guessing you're also too young to know that.

LOL the hairstyle has always been present! in my community and in the fashion industry(every single year since Galliano in 2008, it's been present in the runway and editorials) and baby twigs is a huge fashion enthusiast and a fan of Galliano and Gaultier so sit down.

Again, dumbass, re-read my initial comment. All I said is that she re-introduced the hairstyle to the WIDER audience who only have a superficial interest in fashion, if any. If you think people (outside of the niche group) are thinking "oh baby hair, galliano did that in 2008", you're sadly mistaken. And don't even fucking try to retract, you obviously had no idea who originated the hairstyle, and were attributing it to the fashion designers who are notorious for regurgitating everything.

You don't need to call people names to state your opinion or argue your point.
Here people have attributed braids, dookie braids and babyhair swirls to Twigs, here was said that Rihanna copied twigs LOL I love twigs but girl was not styling her hair like this before she made it 2011-2012 when these hairstyles were making it into runway and editorials. If I didn't explained myself clearly, the point that I was trying to make was that it has been part of the black, latino community, fashion industry, and even white bs in 1920s for f-ing ages. If you don't want see that's your issue.
I do think Twigs has been inspired by these designers. Her mercury Prize look with lovely lines and dots across her face, I genially thought it was inspired by fulani face paint, but no when asked she said Galliano 1996.

A/w agree to disagree White rude person.

Yes I do when somebody repeatedly calls me ignorant and refers to me as "white" and "white ass".

And I find it so misguided that you had just decided she was inspired by these designers and editorials as if to dismiss her as not very insightful when in fact she has been inspired by the very community she's a part of.

About what exactly?

she did not introduce this hairstyle to a wider audience. its always been there.

Is that so? This particular style had not been a part of mainstream since 1995. Younger generations hadn't had a clue about baby hair until she re-introduced it, and now everyone is wearing it as exhibited by Katy Perry.

hun this hairstyle never went away, period. that's like saying braids were bought back to relevance with lauren conrad. nobody even knows who the fuck fka twigs anyways so lmao @ her re-introducing a hairstyle to a general public anyways.

did she inspire katy? probably so, but re-introducing to the mainstream? nah. she's not even mainstream, lol

"Never went away"

Either you've just come out of the woodwork after hibernating for the last 15 years or you're just trolling hard because no one and I mean no one was wearing it in the meantime. Certainly no one relevant or otherwise in the mainstream.

"Nobody even knows who the fuck fka twigs anyways"

She's dating Rpatz, her face is all over tabloids so I'm certain everyone knows who she is. Her music tho, not so much, which is a damn shame.
