I mean it was okay, the track is a bit all over the place at times and I think the start of the verse got him sounding a bit off flow which happens on these kind of synthy records that he rarely touches but he picked it up on the last 16 bars. He's kinda of chilled on the guest verses he's been doing since 2013. The verse on Rocko's Hustler which came out last summer was the best and of course J Cole.
But compared to the monster run of guests verses he had in 95-97, 01-03 and most of all 2011-2012 when Life is Good dropped, the ones he done the 2 years while big in name (Wiz Khalifa, Schoolboy Q, JLo, Mariah, Madonna, Jay-Z) are kinda average. Keep in mind his average still is better than most. But I always look at him doing a ton as a warm up for an album and so far I need that fire to know album 14 is gonna be heat.
Yeah, Nas is kind of in a league of his own. I've only heard the song once so far, so I haven't formed an opinion yet, but I wanted your opinion since you're the resident Nas/rap expert (imo). I was very happy when I found out that Nas was going to be featured because, as you said, his average is better than most.
It's kind of a mix of eurodance and trap? And then Chance comes in towards the end with some humming in the background. I'd love to hear your opinion :)
