Can someone explain ONTD's obsession with these white men from the Marvel series to me?

Like IIRC it was that guy who plays Loki in Thor/Avengers, then it was that guy with the metal arms(Bucky) in Captain America, and now it's the guy who plays Captain America?

Why do you all get the hots for them at once and then completely stop talking about them within 5 months?

eh, Marvel casts for looks and charm and works to smooth rough edges on PR. They choose guys who were likable, get them in a gym, and set them up interviews that play off their charm.

Marvel is good about providing "fan service" for their female fans.

Exactly. They know in order to get the mass appeal audience, they can't just cater to the nerds. So they get attractive dudes in the roles, not that I'm complaining.
