They released an album for free on iTunes. I opened iTunes one evening and there was this U2 album I'd never asked for, it was obnoxious and wasn't received well. If there's more to it, I habhaven'tent heard about it, but I live under a rock so...

the main issue is that it usually auto-downloaded to people's iphones as well, and people were freaking out that something (an apparently awful album but i never listened to it) was on their phone without their consent

lol at everyone being shamed (if that's the right word?) for not being aware of the "U2 fiasco". I'm in the US and didn't know either. I don't use iTunes. And I don't give a shit about U2, so I wouldn't retain any entertainment news about them if I did hear about it.

for real. I only use iTunes for music that I can't find on Spotify, and I never had this album automatically added.
