What she says in this case is totally true. Nadine didn't want to be in the group and her solo album was her priority. That's why she didn't take part in "The passions of Girls Aloud" and didn't attend the Brits with them.

"Nadine was initially going to conduct an orchestra, but pulled out of the television programme. This is said to be due to the programme's bosses refusing to let her change her passion project to being a charity worker in Brazil. arah Harding later stated in an interview that Nadine was simply more reserved than the rest of the band, and didn't enjoy taking part in Reality-TV shows."

She claims to have lost her passport and that's why she didn't attend the Brits but who knows if that's true.

Cheryl on the other hand collabed with Will.i.am and started working on solo material MONTHS before the band took their hiatus.

lol @ those fake excuses

and you're wrong about Cheryl's album
Nadine would've released an album in 2009. She was initially signed to Geffin, but she didn't like the direction they were taking her so they dropped her. A demo leaked from this period, it was a Jade Ewen track.
Nadine originally got a deal and was working with Guy Chambers but apparently (according to her when she was promoting Insatiable) she wasn't doing the music she wanted to do so set up her own label and did it all herself which would've taken longer, especially if you scrap all the material you had already done.
Cheryl has said that apart from the songs she co-wrote with Will.I.Am she picked her album from a group of demos the label had so doubt it would've taken long to record and finalise.

So basically, they went on a break because Nadine wouldn't record an album with them again until her solo album was done, but then she decided to throw away everything she'd done and start again and in that time was when Cheryl released hers.
Get your facts straight

so?
Nadine wanted to go solo and refused to release another GA album until that happened, Cheryl never did, she had already been featured in a Shit.I.Am single WHILE still being in GA.
Nadine was rejected by various record labels (even Polydor, GA's label) before singing with Geffen.

This. She was completely fine to continue with GA and do solo. It seems Nad was not the same way imo.

Wasn't cheryls feature on that track part of some girls aloud thing anyway? I think I remember watching some girls aloud documentary when they all went to do some solo stuff and cheryls was to appear in that video

before releasing Out of control they had some time off so every one of them (minus Cunteen) did a "special proyect" and filmed it. Cheryl's was to learn to dance hip/hop (so she could be ~very cool, funky and urban~), she did and she appeared in Shit.I.Am's video and in the UK's version of the song

I don't know for how long you've been a GA Chairoll stan but when the hiatus started she the only one who claimed that wanted to go solo was Chairoll.

Nuhdeensus went back to LA to be a lazy bitch and be a 'business woman' she wanted to take a break from music but lots of fans wanted her to go solo as well because truth be told, she is the voice of GA.

She was reluctant at first but then she changed her mind and started her album nightmare.

She should've released a slutty xenomania album instead of the indie shit she put out.

She tried as much as possibe to get away from the GA sound for her solo album (and that was wrong imo) and started this 'soulful' 'selfproduced' shit only available next to the bananas stand at Tesco.
