I really want to see Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill but I don't know if it'll happen. :/

it's only doing a 10-week performance and my BF and I are both soooo stressed/busy this month.

i was supposed to be going next month but i haven't heard from any of the people i was gonna go with. also i'm kinda mad that the club seating is sooooo expensive because i really wanted to spring for it but there's just no way it's gonna fit into the budget

club seating looks cool, but they also recommend that you come in appropriate attire for the venue/era... like, no way am I going to buy a fancy suit just to see a play.

my mom was fucking over the MOON about that "festive attire" shit. i usually dress up somewhat to see shows anyway, so putting on a dress and throwing a flower in my hair or something is, like, whatever, but also, if i paid 300 dollars for a ticket and i wanna wear fucking sweatpants, then let me.

i saw the show and had absolutely no idea there was a dress code. no one cared that i was in jeans and converse... lol

but i was also not in the club section - that is basically part of the show so they want people to fit in a bit.
