There's something holding me back from being a fan of hers. She's beautiful and I like a few of her films (even though her acting was never the highlight of them), but there's just something about her that rubs me the wrong way. I feel she's a bit contrived for some reason but I don't follow her enough to know why, if that makes sense.
There are times that I really like her because she speaks her mind about gender but than she turns around and does something (slightly) worrisome again. I don't know if the one part is just an act or she isn't educated in a well-balanced way but ..it's weird.
she tries to come off as educated but she really don't even know what she believes in, atleast that's how it comes off to me. i remember when she was promoting "the other boleyn girl" with natalie and they both said they weren't feminists because they didn't feel the need to compete with men. like what?
yeah that's why i dislike her too. she just seems to have that petulant hot-girl-trying-to-prove-she-isn't-vapid syndrome but in the end she does seem quite vapid and unaware
And I think that - as with many many other people - she finds it hard to admit to not knowing something/making a mistake. Really, tell us you're educating yourself, instead of the NOT MEANT OFFENSE bullshit.
I didn't want to comment with it but because you sorta already went there…I also feel she is uneducated on a lot of things. She strikes me as the type of person who skims through a book and then feels they are the expert on it.

I think/hope/feel that she has some clue, but never invested to back it up.
