I have one. only a few of the flavors are good tbh. the root beer is nice but on the whole I do feel that I wasted my money

That's my favorite lesson I learned from Alton Brown -- if a kitchen item only has one use, then you don't need it. It's just clutter.

MTE. I just call them toasted sandwich makers but I read a study calling them the most useless kitchen gadget and I will not have it!!

yeah but you can cook other things besides just rice inside a rice cooker too tho, so idk if it qualifies

My family and no other Korean family I grew up knewing ever did, unless people count "rice with a mix of beans" as a whole new ~second use.

my family used a rice cooker to make congee, lazy fried rice, and a lot of stuff that can be steamed. like veggies and stuff. my mom really hated doing the dishes. lol
